Founded in New York City on June 30, 2024, American Ci Bei Temple Inc. is a Mahayana Buddhist Zen temple under the spiritual guidance of Venerable Master Hong Youn Swueta Shi.

We are dedicated to preserving and sharing the Right Dharma, benefiting all sentient beings, cultivating compassion, and supporting spiritual growth within the community. Through the integrated practices of Chan (Zen) and Pure Land Buddhism, we make the wisdom of the Buddha’s teachings accessible and meaningful in modern life.

Under the guidance of Venerable Master Hong Youn Swueta Shi, the temple upholds the traditional teachings of Buddhism and provides opportunities for Dharma practice, meditation, education, cultural activities, and compassionate service. Through these activities, we help individuals cultivate inner peace, wisdom, and spiritual well-being.

American Ci Bei Temple provides free community services, including memorial and prayer services, Dharma assemblies, Buddhist teachings, meditation programs, and spiritual guidance. The temple operates entirely through voluntary donations and the kindness and generosity of supporters.
