Support Annual Rent & Operations of the Temple – Donation Announcement
Donation Announcement
Established in New York City on June 30, 2024, American Ci Bei Temple Inc is a legally registered nonprofit Buddhist Zen organization dedicated to the study and practice of Mahayana Buddhism, Zen Tao, and Zen arts. Under the spiritual guidance of Venerable Master Hongyun, and supported by the fourfold assembly of disciples, the Temple is committed to spreading the Dharma, dispelling ignorance, and guiding all beings toward liberation through the path of great compassion.
We emphasize the teachings of Zen and Pure Land, taking refuge in the Triple Gem—the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha. Through Zen meditation, scriptural study, Kau Chim (“The Oracle of Kuan Yin”), and Dharma teachings, the Temple offers spiritual guidance to help individuals cultivate wisdom, inner peace, and clarity in daily life. Our aspiration is to support practitioners on the path toward spiritual awakening and the compassionate vision of rebirth in the Pure Land.
Our Spiritual Mission and Skillful Means
At American Ci Bei Temple Inc, our spiritual mission extends beyond traditional chanting, recitation, and collective Buddhist practice. As compassionate skillful means on the path toward awakening and liberation, we also offer forms of guidance rooted in Zen culture and classical Chinese wisdom.
Through Zen calligraphy, brush painting, and meditative arts, we help practitioners deepen awareness, cultivate mindfulness, and elevate their spiritual understanding. These artistic practices serve as accessible gateways for many people to enter the Dharma and experience inner clarity.
In addition, we share traditional cultural methods such as Kuan Yin Oracle lots, Qimen Dunjia, and classical Feng Shui. These time‑honored systems are presented as part of Chinese cultural heritage and are used to offer perspective, comfort, and insight to individuals facing difficulties in life. By helping people find clarity and relief from worry, we guide them toward a more stable mind and a sincere interest in Buddhist practice.
For many newcomers, these cultural forms provide an approachable bridge to understanding the Dharma. They serve as compassionate skillful means—helping individuals open their hearts, build trust, and gradually enter the path of Buddhist cultivation. Through these methods, we encourage individuals to understand Eastern wisdom, make mindful choices, and embody the principle of “seeking fortune and avoiding misfortune.”
Our Commitment to Free Spiritual Services
American Ci Bei Temple Inc does not charge membership fees, service fees, or participation fees of any kind. All spiritual activities—including meditation, Dharma teachings, prayer ceremonies, cultural programs, and traditional guidance—are offered free of charge as part of our religious mission to benefit the community.

Through meditation, calligraphy, and brush painting, the Center encourages personal cultivation, artistic refinement, and the transmission of traditional culture for future generations. These practices serve as meaningful pathways for individuals to deepen mindfulness and connect with the spirit of Zen.

The New York Qimen Fengshui Academy (QMFSA‑NY) functions as a cultural and educational branch under American Ci Bei Temple Inc. The Academy is devoted to the study, preservation, and teaching of traditional Qimen Dunjia and classical Feng Shui as part of Chinese cultural heritage.
As part of its cultural offerings, the Academy also provides Kuan Yin Oracle lots, Qimen Dunjia, and Feng Shui consultations to help individuals understand Eastern wisdom and apply it in daily life. These traditional methods offer perspective, comfort, and insight, encouraging individuals to cultivate clarity and embody the principle of “seeking fortune and avoiding misfortune.”
All teachings and guidance are offered strictly for cultural, historical, and educational purposes, in full compliance with applicable laws, and as part of the Temple’s mission to serve the community.
